The new Accolade system has been deployed to the PTS! If you're in checking the feature out before it goes live, head over to Tribble, try it out, and post on the Public Test Server forums to let us know what you think!

What are Accolades?
Accolades in Star Trek Online are special missions that track various achievements throughout a players career in the STO universe and unlock various rewards at certain milestones. Players can earn Accolades for many different actions in the STO universe such as defeating a certain number of critters from a certain species or faction, completing main storyline missions, dealing tons of damage of a certain energy type, and many more.

For every Accolade that is completed the player will earn Accolade points, so earn a bunch and compare your score to your friends!

How can I view my Accolade Points?
You can view your total Accolade Points by opening your Journal and going to the Accolades tab, where you will be able to see specific details about which accolades you have completed, how many Accolade points you have earned for each Accolade, along with your Accolade point total.

In addition to points certain Accolades will grant special rewards to the player. Exclusive titles and special powers are some of the rewards that players can unlock by completing Accolades.

Will I get retroactive credit for objectives I completed before the system went live?
Note: Since launch we have been tracking many of the statistics for Accolades in the background so Accolades that players have already completed will be granted automatically when this feature goes live.

Is this system live?
Not yet! It's currently in-testing and awaiting feedback from our players. If you're interested in participating, log on to Tribble!

Hey guys! hope this finds you well.

I'll put the meat of my message first:
I bought the game on march 24th, and promptly joined your fleet, good times. So, my first billing date was april 24th. So i logged onto the website on the 25th, to find my billing date now the 27th, then then 30th, and now the 3rd. Pretty cool for me, but is this a bad sign for the game?

ok with that out of the way...

Ive been in AIE for about two years now, sorry to name it. Love CTRLALTWOW even though i havent had time to listen consistently lately. too many history podcasts interfering, and of course there is always the Scott Johnson empire of content. I originally became familiar with Aprillians work when i heard her on How I Wow, and actually had the pleasure to meet his bouviness in person last summer at the AIE meet up in nashville.

Bouvi, two things: I hope your back feels better and VOLCANO!!!!!!!!

Thats all, love the show, keep it up.

Runtspell

ps...
ohh if you listen to the first episode of Hypothetical Help with Turpster and that other dude, you will hear a Tony from Nashville asking for advice on which copy of STO to buy.....that other dude told me not to buy it. but im glad i didnt take his advice! live long and prosper.

My "active" time has been very limited, but I am working the overnight shift tonight at my hotel, so I will be watching some Star Trek: TOS on my iPadd (I add the second "d" for Apple Domination). It would be cool if an officer who is on this evening would be able to hook me up as a fleet member

Hi every one at CtrlAltTrek,

Great podcast for the Star Trek MMO and you guys even do a great podcast for that other game. You know WoW. Oh on did I type that.
Any way thank you for answering my questions about the Star Trek MMO that was in episode #012. I was getting at the PC playing that other game and leasing to your podcast. I was shocked when I heard my name.
You guys were very helpful in answering my questions. I was very happy to hear you are sending me a trail key. So a very heart felt thank you.

Hello Aprillian, Vrishna and Bouvi,

I wanted to write you about the death penalty. I was so excited to hear they were adding it along with a difficulty slider. I Really enjoy Star Trek and had so much fun emerging myself in the universe. After awhile though I did start to notice that in space battles, especially the enemy contact signals. I was just flying in and half paying attention to what was going on. So when I heard about the changes I started slowing down how much I play to start back up after the 1.1 update. After playing through a few exploring mission it just happened that they were all ground missions. Since I haven't had to learn any real strategies I am getting wiped out a couple times a mission. I do not take issue with this as a game mechanic, but it is costing me a fortune. To the point that now I cannot afford to upgrade my teams equipment to try and decrease my failure rate, or even get them healed when they are hurt. I love that I have to pay attention now to what I am doing and there is a consequence to not doing something correctly. However I don't remember any of the captains on the shows having to tell a crew member "sorry but I just can't afford to give you the medical treatment you need." I was just curious if anyone else was having this issue.

Thank you,
jon@jonrhine Rear Admiral U.S.S. Ron Santo.

Hey Ctrl Alt Trek crew.
Vern here,
Thanks for hooking me up with the STO trial code.

I can't believe I missed the live show again. From what I can tell from the time Bouvi tweeted I was busy in a raid on that other game.

I am a big fan the show. Its the only STO podcast I listen to and I listen to a lot of podcasts.

Live Long and Prosper
